Rank is the bid. Nothing else.

Rules

outbidtao is a public leaderboard for the Bittensor ecosystem. No accounts, no revenue share, nothing for sale but the rank. We run ads to send traffic to the board, and agents can use the site end to end. You pay to stand above everyone else.

How ranking works

• New listings start at τ0.03, move in steps of τ0.01, and cap at τ5,000. Bids already on the board keep their amount until they raise or get outranked.
• Taking #1 costs at least τ0.05 more than the current top bid. Paying less still puts you on the board at whatever rank that bid can take.
• Equal bids stay in the order they were placed; the older bid keeps the higher rank.
• Enter the same URL, subnet, key or @handle again to raise that listing. The new total must be at least τ0.01 above your current bid; you only pay the difference. Nobody else can take your rank by paying that difference.

One price, three ways to pay

• Every rank has one price in τ. Pay it in TAO, in alpha of any subnet, or in locked (Conviction) alpha; the quantity is computed at that subnet's pool price when you open checkout and held for 15 minutes. No rail-specific fees or discounts.
• Alpha and locked alpha move with transfer_stake to the treasury coldkey. Locked mass lands on the hotkey it arrives from; if the treasury already holds a lock on that subnet, checkout tells you which hotkey your locked alpha must be on.
• Underpayments are credited at what arrived. Overpayments are credited in full. Payments after the quote window are credited at the pool price of the block they land in.
• A finalized payment is what claims the rank. No refunds. The spot is bought, not rented.

What you can list

• A subnet (sn64), a validator or miner hotkey (ss58), a product website, or an X @handle.
• Chat and invite links are not allowed: Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Signal and similar. List the product, not the group.
• Sexual content is not allowed.
• Query parameters are stripped. Affiliate and tracking links will not work. Shortened links are replaced by where they redirect.
• App Store, GitHub, HuggingFace and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different projects don't share a bid.

After you pay

• Your listing is public. Clicks go to the URL or profile you submitted, tagged utm_source=outbidtao so you can see the traffic in your own analytics.
• Title and description are read from your page when you list. Categories are chosen by you.
